Another great day at Rotary this week thanks to our guest speaker author and actor John Layne! Rotary meets every Thursday at noon, currently at the Earnest B BBQ at Crest Infiniti, Frisco. On August 18, we will be moving to Stonebriar Country Club at the same time for a weekly meetings. We thank Earnest Morgan and Crest Infiniti for being such wonderful hosts these past years!
A firm believer in active learning, Library Director Shelley Holley, focused the mission of the Frisco Library to enrich lives by inspiring intellect, curiosity, and imagination into a launch pad of innovation for the future. Rising out of a former rocket factory and lifting off into the home for a 156,000sf new $62MM library, Ms. Holley’s team support entrepreneurs, students, and the children who dream about the future. A veteran of library building projects, Ms. Holley received her MLS from the University of North Texas and continues to shatter the stereotypes of what libraries should be, thinking instead of what they could be. She and her husband Robbin have made Frisco their home since 1999.
Major Announcement
The Rotary Club of Frisco is moving its meeting location
On Thursday, August 18, 2022 @ 12 noon our club is permanently moving to Stonebriar Country Club. After months of looking and reviewing over 20 different sites the 2022-2023 Rotary Club of Frisco Board of Directors has voted unanimously on this move.
The board is excited about the move to Stonebriar Country Club. It is a beautiful and professional location that will allow us to step up the club’s public image along with room to grow our club to its potential for size of the area. It will also allow for greater fundraising opportunities and events. Some of the other benefits of this location are; meeting rooms - there are three spaces we can use dependent on size of meeting, AV, podium, microphones, tables, table clothes and centerpieces included, valet parking for those who want to use it for health, weather, or convenience reasons, They have the American and Texas Flags. Thank you, Mike Simpson for making this happen.
