Peter Burns is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of technical leadership and management experience. His professional background includes United States Army Signal Corps (retired) with 20 years of service and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Peter received the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Certified Manager (CM) certifications through the National Management Association (NMA) and the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) Award through Toastmasters International. Peter knows what it takes to perform at the highest level and has transformed his military lessons into lessons for business and life.
Peter is an accomplished leader and is affiliated with Junior Achievement and Frisco Young Entrepreneur Academy. Peter’s leadership goes beyond his professional career as he currently serves as Chairman of Leadership Frisco Advisory Committee, President of the Frisco Education Foundation and Chairman of the Mind Bender Academy, a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) camp that encourages students to consider STEM as a profession.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy, or YEA!, is a groundbreaking educational program that takes students ages 11 to 18 through the process of starting and running real businesses/social movements over the course of a full academic year.
